This year’s theme for our award-winning Ocean Awareness Contest is Connections to Nature: Looking Inside, Going Outside, where we encourage young people to explore the natural world and their place in it through the lenses of generational knowledge, human health, urban environments, resiliency, and more. 

Quick Contest Details:

• Free to enter

• Open to students worldwide, ages 11-18 

• Submissions accepted in visual art, creative writing, poetry, spoken word, film, music, dance, and multimedia

• Up to $1,000 in cash awards available, including the We All Rise Prize for students in the U.S. who self-identify as Black, Indigenous, and/or Latine

• Student work becomes part of a global collection that is inspiring the protection of our oceans

• Deadline to submit online: June 9, 2025
